I have owned Keeshonden since 1977 and am proud to have followed in the footsteps of my Dutch family on my mother’s side by owning one of the Spitz breeds

My Grandmother, Jocoba Wilhelmina Valks was born in s’Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. This photo shows her holding one of her own Spitz dogs. In her later years she lived in England

Keeshonden have given me and Ron so much joy and pleasure They are our pets first and have been life long companions, and in recent years, showgirls at the various show Societies.

We have owned a number of keeshonden and the photos below show our companions from our first rescue, to our current showgirl.

Haig came to us in a state of confusion; he was soon in training to enjoy a full and happy life.

Logie was another rescue. He was a very active boy who’d had little communication to the outside world, he was a real softy; fun loving and adorable to everyone.

Tinkerbell came to us at the age of four. She was my husband’s sailing partner, spending many hours down on our boat and becoming well known at the waterside.

She earned her stud book number at an early age at East of England and gained many 1^sts and Best of Breeds.

Carli was our first puppy Kees, she was so intelligent and enjoyed obedience and agility training. She was inseparable from Tinkerbell (Gavimir Magnolia) who was her playmate.

Misty is our second puppy Kees and our current companion. Her first time in the show ring was at the N. of. E. Keeshond Club show in July 2010; followed by Richmond Championship show in September and the Keeshond Club October open show.She did us proud and came first in MP/P/JB classes.


She is a naturally talented show girl and will be attending more shows with us.
