My Thanks to the Committee for the invitation and to the Exhibitors who gave me a lovely selection of dogs to go over and whose warmth and kindness made this such a lovely show. Best of Breed was Andrew’s Neradmik Help The Hero at Maldine and Best Bitch & Reserve Best of Breed was Matthews’ Ch Eastkees Winter Mist. Reserve Best Dog was Waller’s Brykin Big Chief and Reserve Best Bitch was Hopkin’s Torrikees Shakira among Serenaubach. Best Puppy was Miles & Dean’s Neradmik Family Affair with Lekkerbek and Best Veteran was Hill’s Plymkees First Edition Sh CM

Minor Puppy Dog – 3 (1)

1 Miles & Dean’s Neradmik Family Affair with Lekkerbek:  Very naughty puppy but full of quality. Excellent in head and overall proportions, standing square and moving jauntily when he put his mind to it.  Lovely leg length and tail set. Liked him very much and look forward to seeing him progress. BPIS; 2 Harris & Major’s Neradmik All About The Boy for Watchkees: Well schooled youngster who has slightly different proportions than first, being longer in body. Lovely coat pattern and well prepared.

Puppy Dog – 2 (1)

1 Miles’ Cullen & Brown’s  Rossvale’s Legacy for Lekkerbek: Lovely young male who stands with a square outline. Profuse coat but harness marks could be clearer. Excellent tail set and feet. Needs to settle more on the move.

Junior Dog – 2

1 Newman’s Leazehond Lightning Bolt: Correct size male with a coat to fit. Excellent shape and coupling short and strong. Good skull shape but ears could be closer for my taste. Moving freely. 2 Edwards & Rousseau’s Torrikees Van Heusen: Bigger male with longer coat.  Good overall proportions with excellent leg length and clean legs. Not so enthusiastic on the move today.

Novice Dog – 1

1: Tew & Scroggs’ Bargeway Just Me:  I was truly washed by this happy extrovert! Excellent colour and harness marks but sadly he fails in movement.

Post Graduate Dog – 5 (2)

1 Waller’s Brykin Big Chief:  Nice size with good coat colour and quantity and making a lovely overall outline. Excellent tail set and moving with precision;  2: Wilkins’ Whizzkees Onyx Sampson Many similar attributes to first dog, but not so precise on the move up and down. Lovely head  with dark mask. Good coat colour but lot of pencilling on the feet.  3 Houghton’s Liefkees Ambassador

Limit Dog – 6 (1)

1: Andrews’ Neradmik Help The Hero at Maldine: Lovely male who moved soundly and freely. Standing square he presents a typical picture of a Kees to me. Lovely coat colours with real grey and the clean cream legs. Excellent head with lovely almond eye, and there were not too many of those today. Small ears that fit the head, positioned well. Moving soundly up and down and presenting a nice balanced side gait.  Hard to fault him. BIS. 2: Bennett’s Zandvoort Dream Stone Looks to have lost a lot of coat, but a square dog with many attributes. Most lovely head with almond eye but ears looked a little pronounced; this may well change when he coats up.  Needs to body up as well but there is a quality dog there.. 3:  Pattison’s Eastkees Time Lord

Open Dog – 4 (1)

1: Hopkins’ Helkeesen Regal Surfer among Serenaubach JW Sh.CM Nice sized male standing four square.  His grey is good but markings could be better defined. Excellent neck and elbows set close to well developed body. Excellent feet. Trotting out well, quite soundly. 2: Wilkins’ Ch Pommary Quick Silver at Whizzkees Taller boy than 1 and not so precise on the move today. Prepared and handled well. 3: Henman & Peterson’s Foxifayre Doctor Zhivago

Veteran Dog – 3

Three lovely veteran males all who strongly believe that their old age is yet to come! 1: Hills’ Plymkees First Edition Sh.CM Bigger than I usually like but with a lovely foxy head, pointed ears and lovely expression overall.  Stands four square but coupling could be shorter. Very sound on the move.  2: Hills’ Plymkees Star Class Sh CM Smaller male and quite young at 7, but already going down on the front pasterns. Excellent profile and standing four square. Lovely quality coat. 3: Bell’s Allforus Top Gun

Breeder’s Dog – 2

1: Hills’ Plymkees Cool Dude Sh CM Rather up on size for me, but as sound as can be. Good head properties and clean legs. Tail set OK. 2: Luckhurst’s Gavimir Demon King Full or type and excels in coupling and tail set. Rear action very weak.

Minor Puppy Bitch – 3 (1)

1: Gregory’s Amikirs Bubblelicious Foxy head on this pretty girl. Excels in colour and standing square and correctly. OK for leg length. 2: Bardsley’s Neradmik High Society at Skathki Excellent presentation on this young lady. Slightly richer colour than 1. Tail set could be higher and coupling shorter.

Puppy Bitch – 4

1: Pattison’s Eastkees Daisy Mayhem Excellent in her moderation and overall soundness. Lovely colour and cream legs. Attractive spitzy head and well set ears. 2: Gregory’s Amikirs Bubblelicious Lot of body on this young lady, does not need any more. Beautifully presented and moving soundly. Colour needs to clear a bit on body and legs 3: Tew’s Bargeway Neat And Tidy

Special Yearling Bitch – 2

Two very different bitches here 1: White’s Neradmik Meant To Be with Whitchakees Taller and with a lot of bone, she scores in absolute soundness. Excellently presented but she does not need any more body. 2: Pattison’s Eastkees Sunday Girl A more lightly framed bitch needs more bone and coat to fit the frame. Colour on legs prominent.

Novice Bitch – 2

1: Gregory’s Amikirs Bubblelicious Repeat. Prefer her foreface, rear action and colour pattern to 2.              2: Redler & Wheatley’s Pommary Almost an Angel Great bone, lovely body and coupling with good leg length. Rear action could be better.

Post Graduate Bitch – 2 (1)

1: Hopkins’ Torrikees Shakira among Serenaubach A lovely grey colour and with a very full and crisp jacket; harness marks could be more pronounced. Many good conformation qualities when you go over her. Excellent tail set and exceptional rear action. Front could be steadier, but overall a nice bitch

Limit Bitch – 4 (2)

1: Saunders’ Liefkees Angelika Lovely square bitch who impresses for colour, markings and clean legs. Tail set OK, coupling could be shorter but not broader. Excellent feet. 2: Harding’s Amikirs Amour Very well coated girl, not enjoying the mats. Very reluctant on the move. Colour below hock joint.

Open Bitch – 5

1: Matthews’ Ch Eastkees Winter Mist Quality bitch who is a small package but so well put together. Standing four square and as square as can be with her excellent leg proportions and her tail well on top. She excels in head and neck and moves with spirit and precision. Absolutely sound. Markings are correct but could be greyer. However, taking the whole dog into consideration, she was my Best Bitch.  2: Pattison’s Eastkees Timeless Love Slightly larger framed girl but of great quality. Excellent leg length and clean legs. Coupling is strong but could be a mite shorter. Excellent head.  3: Wilkins’ Ch Whizzkees Silver Slipper

Veteran Bitch – 7 (3)

1: Goddard’s Ch Swashway Drama Queen I really quite fell for this lady. Obviously in spay coat, she still presents so many virtues of the breed. Her conformation is only hidden by the delights she has obviously enjoyed in her later years.  Having said that, she is exceptionally hard in muscle tone. For soundness and agility on the move, I could not deny her this class.  2: Newman’s Leazehond Maddy Moonlight Bigger girl than 1 and quality again. Excellent clean legs and feet. Tail set good. Longer cast than 1.  3: Saunders’ Ch Liefkees Albertine. 4: Waller’s Brykin Bandora

Breeders Bitch – 4 (1)

1: Saunders’ Liefkees Annabell Lovely type of girl. Good neck, body, topline and tail set. Good markings. Short level croup and excellent tail set. Good clean legs. Needs to settle more and show more consistency on the move.  2: Hills’ Plymkees Limited Edition Sh.CM Smaller pattern of girl, but a lot of coat on her. Rather different shape to 1, but very sound. 3: Newman’s Leazehond Moondust Cascade

Brace (3)

1: Hopkins’ A couple rather than a brace, but I think they complemented each other very well.  Very typey, lovely colours and correctly marked. 2: Hills’ Two boys, who, to put it in the vernacular, were feeling their oats, today. Strong and virile males! 3: Saunders’
