It is a privilege to be invited to judge a breed parent club show and the warmth of the welcome from the committee of The Keeshond Club is always exemplary, thank you all for your kindness. Quality in depth pervaded this small entry giving some decisions which could easily change on another day as they were often close calls. I learnt a lot from handling some really quality exhibits thank you to all exhibitors for bring your dogs each one was much appreciated.

1.Rose – Dianakees Inspector Morse At Esorkees
Eleven months squarely built compact youngster with developing ruff and spectacles active and typical overall. Head balanced skull to muzzle good bone tight feet pleasing eye shape set and dark colour. Excellent coat for his age correct texture with good twist to tail and trousers on show. Sound in hind action needs to settle in front in my opinion, BPIS.

2. Marshall – Arabesque At Devonia (Imp Rus)
Rising four and a half stronger in head overall than the winner with slight reluctance to raise his ears compact build sound but not as positive on the move as the winner but did possess better fuller undercoat on the day. High set fully plumed tail carried well trousers on show to hocks.
3. Wilkin – Whizzkees Quicksilver
Three years ten months the bigger dog of the three but for me the best head in the class masculine and well balanced with typical expression and black mask pleasing eye shape dark colour well set. Full dense ruff high tail set with double curl moved acceptably in front less so at the rear on the day would prefer feet a tad tighter.

Eight years two months super body condition solid across the loins excellent spring of ribcage profuse harsh coat high tail set lovely muscled hindquarters. Ears erect a tad strong in skull I considered but deep stop hocks could be firmer and for me not the dentition of the winners.
